Bbeez is a service & a product, we offer the public a greener option for their used candle containers and leftover wax, our bins are situated in all areas of the UK and the recycled products can be found online and in Zero-waste shops. 

The business evolved from when Tracie Walker, the founder wanted to learn to make scented candles at home without wasting lots of containers, so posted a request for any used containers in her local area, using Facebook. The response was astounding! It turns out that there are thousands of us buying scented wax products, regularly, and when it comes to disposing of the glass jars, some of us are putting them away, hoping to find a use for them, we also detest throwing so many aluminium cups away, it's becoming more difficult to justify the use and waste of so many natural resources, we have become so used to single-use and throw away, now the light is coming on and we are making better buying choices and choices about trying to recycle.

So when Tracie received so many donations of containers, she thought that it was a crying shame that there were hundreds of other eager donators that wanted to give her that containers for recycling that would now go into landfill.

And the business was born!

Most homebased candleirs source their containers from suppliers who normally deliver whenever necessary.This usually happens when certain products are needed to produce more candle stock for the maker.Resulting in maybe multiple suppliers and associated shipping logistics, including the manpower involved in picking and packing, then transporting each item to destination.My service massively reduces this operation, I only collect donations from drop-off points once there is sufficient to justify a delivery, meaning I receive the containers in bulk using less manpower and transportation.The other way I affect natural resources is by avoiding the production of any more aluminium or glass containers, my products are more sustainable as they are made from containers already distributed.

Our luxurious scented glass jar candles are created from recycled containers and brand new eco-friendly wax, the ingredients are all sustainable and ethically produced.

The soy used in most of your regular soy candles is usually from farms that are damaging the environment and unsustainable, they are in areas that are also home to plants & animals that need our protection and are being destroyed by the demand for soy.

The wax in our containers is Cargill nature wax see here for full details of the essential work they are involved in to rectify the damage done already and make the necessary changes to make it more sustainable to produce the volume of soy that is required.

The wax used in our melts is always a vegan, sustainable type, either rapeseed & coconut blend or Kera-soy wax. see xxxx for further details about sources.

We pride ourselves on putting people and planet b4 profit and feel extremely passionate about the philosophy behind the business, the focus is on providing many accessible recycling bins in as many sites as possible in Britain and making a real impact on the volume of aluminium and glass going to household landfill, and leading the way for other chandeliers to produce wax products with ethical and environmental values. 

The majority of scented products found on the supermarket shelves are made of paraffin wax, found to have a negative effect on health from the fumes and made from the process of making petroleum, it is the cheapest option offering maximum profit, other brands use soy from farms that are made by destroying rainforests and causing full-scale extinction of the life that depended on it, but claim to be natural and a better option than paraffin. 

We are passionate about offering guilt-free candle use that not only positively affects the users mental, physical and emotional health and attitude, but actually adds to their efforts to lower their personal carbon footprint, and benefit the rest of the world in general as we all make changes to recover from climate change.

As a recycler, this can sometimes pose challenges. If the material donated is ie plastic, obviously not biodegradable, I may re-purpose it for sale,  however, I may have saved it from landfill and hope my clients are mindful when disposing of the waste.

All products for sale will be advertised with full detailed information whether it's recycled and material used.

Product ingredients will be as close to natural as possible and listed with relevant information regarding sources and suitability.
